A Week in My Life: Weeks 15 and 16

I thought I'd go ahead and combine the week that I missed with this blog post. It's been a rough couple of weeks for me as I started battling a major health issue that has finally stopped raring its ugly head. As a result, I'm going to start doing a weekly post called "Well-Being Wednesday" we're I'll discuss health, eating healthy, and whatever else fits into that category! So look out for that this upcoming week!

As mentioned earlier, our anniversary was on the 14th of August! My mom had a little get-together planned with our family and some of our friends. She saved the top of our cake which was, surprisingly, still really tasty. I didn't have a piece at my own wedding, so it was nice to be able to eat some!

Luis and I on our way to the family party. He's lookin' pretty excited. (Sorry about the horrible cell phone quality...)

Doing some work for school and relaxing with hot tea and toast. I personally believe that you can't read Pride and Prejudice without some kind of tea in your hand.

In the hospital. Talk about miserable.

Later, when we went to pick up my prescriptions, I was surprised that they are already starting to sell Halloween candy. (And by surprised, I mean not surprised...) By the way... I hate candy corn.

Strawberries were one of the only "solid" foods I was able to eat these past few weeks. I paired it with goat cheese (a healthier soft cheese) and honey (very good for your digestion).

I bought some unsweetened coconut milk to give me some sort of calcium while my body was recovering. It's organic, and even if you hate coconuts, it honestly tasted like regular milk. It was surprisingly not-coconutty. (Yeah I just made that word up).

Luis, stretched out and reading on the floor.

Draining boiled peas... As my best friend said, "you have the diet of an 80 year old, toothless woman." Hehe.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

  1. Your cake looks gorgeous! Strawberries and goat cheese sounds like a really great combo, I'll have to try it.

  2. Oh, hospital, so so sorry to read this, it's really sucky.
But on the bright side, that cake is awesome, and I can even smell it from here haha.
And I know what you mean about Inception, one of my fave too :), but I saw the bridge for the first time in Belle du Jour.

  3. I googled that movie after you mentioned it in your Paris post and I would like to track it down and watch it! I love Catherine Deneuve!
