Since the movie Up is very sweet, colorful, and whimsical, we wanted to have our decorations enhance that same environment. Carl's home is full of knick-knacks and vintage decor so we incorporated Mason jars and colorful daisies to create a vintage feel and set them on the tables; we also used really saturated colored tablecloths to mirror the balloons that Carl uses to fly himself to Paradise Falls.
We made a banner out of cardstock and strung it with thread. We placed it on the food table to bring the decorations together.
I decided to make Bridal Shower Mad Libs for a game, of sorts, and for Kelsey to look over later and have some laughs. We wanted the guests to fill them out with crazy, silly, possibly awkward answers.
As I mentioned before, Alyssa and I baked until we could bake no more. We made sub sandwiches since the time of our shower was right during lunch time. They were sweet and savory, with spinach, tomatoes, turkey, apricot spread, and gorgonzola cheese. For the full recipe, see here.
We also made Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel brownies, herbed cheese bread, cheesy puffs, Nutella cupcakes, vegetable platters, and an assortment of munchies.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Brownies
Cheesy Bread, voila!
Probably my favorite feature on our food table was the Blueberry Lemonade Cocktail.
It was so delicious, and who doesn't love spiked lemonade? Yes, those are mint leaves.
We just had people relax, eat, laugh, and, of course, watch the bride open her gifts.

That is probably the best thing I have ever seen! That is so sweet and I love the film up too, she must have been delighted :)
