Things I'm Loving.

This weekend is a slower one for us. I'm taking advantage of a slow day and catching up on the mundane things in life (cleaning... errands). There's a storm moving in, and while I admitted yesterday that I get anxious during storms, a rainstorm is so relaxing. How do I distinguish the difference? I'm really not sure... It's a gut thing ;-) Hope you all have a great weekend!

1. Neon accessories to liven up Fall neutrals! I'm kind of obsessed with SheInside, an online shop that has great clothes and accessories for really good prices. Also... shipping is free and they always offer 15% off coupons. (This is not a sponsored post- just my opinion!)

2. Books! Me working at a library is like letting a kid loose in a candy shop. I want to read it all!

3. Leopard print flats. I have been putting off buying anything leopard print for many years... But then I saw these shoes from Target and I decided to run with it.

4. Peaches. I don't know what came over me this summer, but I could not get enough peaches!

I'm thankful for:
The woman at H&R Block that didn't charge us for her services! She did us a huge favor.
The time to spend with family earlier this week.
Kind words and encouragement.
Time to relax and enjoy the weekend.
Upcoming opportunities!

A Few of My Favorite Things

Ever since August left us quietly, I've been buzzing with excitement over the coming Fall season. September is here! For many of you, it's still really hot and humid out there; maybe it's raining and storming where you are. Either way, by the end of this month, the weather is sure to embrace its seasonally chilly weather. I, for one, and getting prepared!

1. I was given this Anthropologie perfume for my birthday this year and fell in love with it! I don't normally like the scent of Roses in my perfumes because it's often too heady, but Happ & Stance got it just right. It's light, airy, and just sweet enough.

2. This Eyeko liquid eyeliner came in one of my Birchboxes. I love how easy it is to apply, and it gives a great, precise line and wing tip.

3. I adore this Sosie dress! It can be worn just as it is during the spring and summer; to make it more fall and winter friendly, simply throw on a blazer or cardigan, and opaque tights with boots. I'm keeping my eye on this one.

4. I don't normally like sweaters like this one from Ruche, but something about the way it's draped caught my eye. It looks like something I could easily pair with black skinny jeans and be done with it. So easy.

5. I just bought these black booties from Target this weekend. I have literally never worn a wedge that was so incredibly comfortable.

6. What else is there to say about this Anthropologie bag?? It's classic, trim, and an obvious wardrobe staple.

Everyday Beauty Favorites

Living in the Midwest can be very frustrating during the summer months. It gets really hot, and really humid. In addition to all of that, we haven't had enough rain this season, so everything is dead and dry. Needless to say, it's hard to stay looking fresh and put together with all the heat and humidity. I recently showed you my styling routine along with my favorite makeup products. So, I wanted to give you a peak into some of my favorite products that help me cope with the frustrating summers.

1. Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser: This is my ultimate favorite facial cleanser. It's super cheap, but nothing cleans my face and gets everything off more efficiently than this.
2. Pantene Replenishing Hair Mask: I blow-dry and straighten my hair on a daily basis. I also use a lot of hair spray. This mask helps keep my hair hydrated and soft. I love it.
3. Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Mud Mask: I just recently bought this, for I am constantly on the lookout for a good facial mask. I could feel this stuff working right when I put it on my face. I definitely recommend it!
4. Yves Saint Laurent Pariesenne Eau de Parfum: I cannot attempt to say enough about this incredible perfume. It's a fragrance of ultra-femininity and sensuality, built with notes of blackberry, damask rose, and sandalwood.
5. Melvita Eau Florale de Rose: Believe me, you want this little lady with you on a hot summer day. It's a refreshing facial spray that smells lightly of roses. The rose floral water acts as a toner to reduce redness and the appearance of fine lines. I use this daily.
6. stila in the light Eyeshadow Palette: I recently got this as a sample in my Birchbox. Not only do I love every single color, but it comes with a booklet that shows you different eyeshadow blends. I can be worn wet or dry. My favorite!

I've included links for each product so that you can get more information and read a little more about them. Feel free to share some of your favorite products! I love discovering new things!

A Few of My Favorite Things: September Dreams

While I love the warm summer air, I must admit that I am more of a fall person, myself. I love snuggling up in warm blankets, smelling the crisp air, and being able to wear blazers everywhere.

I. love. blazers. Seriously, I miss the days where they were once weather appropriate...

1. This is the perfect end-of-summer/beginning of spring blazer. White goes with EVERYTHING.
2. I'm obsessed with these wedges. I saw a fellow blogger wear them and I hunted them down until I found them.
3. Pangea Organics has become one of my favorite skincare product lines. They use natural ingredients and it has done wonders for my skin. This facial scrub is my favorite!
4. All you need to add to this necklace is a white t-shirt!
5. I love a good mixed drink. This one's called The Frenchy.
6. Lavender is one of my favorite scents. Of all time... Reminds me of the end of summer, and keeps me going when Midwest winters begin to wear out their stay.
